This DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) has quickly taken the place for my favorite coffees from the African continent. Grown near the deep jungles of the Congo, the growers of this amazing coffee help to keep the forests untouched for the gorillas who live and thrive there. They also work with foundations that help them market their crops and in turn the farmers help the foundations with their mission of conservation.
This coffee has an amazingly complex profile with a wide palate from black tea, brown sugar, molasses and even into a slightly earthiness at the finish. A must try for the enthusiast.
